My students complete multiple independent scientific research projects as part of their high school experience. They design and carry out these projects themselves with my support. Often they need to collect data at home or in the field rather than in the classroom. This has been especially important in light of COVID-19. Labquest 3 devices will enable more of my students to easily collect precise data for the experiments that they have designed. Vernier Labquest 3 devices are portable and work with a number of data collection probes that our school already has available for student use. Better equipment allows for better experiments and better experiments allow for improved learning. This equipment will open opportunities for students to participate in science competitions and become eligible for prestigious scholarships.
