My students are hoping to replace blowing bubbles in BTB (a CO2 monitor chemical), which can be dangerous. Because some of my students have some issues with food and stability (I teach some students with cerebral palsy), I would rather use a safer alternative in O2 saturation monitors. They're easy to use and I can also use them in our biomedical pathway course! I want to make sure all my students can access to the new NGSS standards and these meters are just the thing to teach cellular respiration! They measure the oxygen level in blood and are a modern, safe alternative to BTB.
