My students are funny, thoughtful, and unique. No two students are alike, and I am constantly learning just as much from them as they are learning from me. When people learn I teach high school they often say "WHY?!" or "Bless your heart!", but I can't see myself in any other field. My students are the reason I never dread getting up and going to work. I teach English II or 10th grade English. I have both Honors and CP classes. My classroom sees a wide variety of backgrounds, abilities, and interests pass through every day. Teaching 70+ teenagers opens the door for a lot of different perspectives and opinions. This is ideal for an English classroom, as no two people read one text the same way. My students may be from a tiny town, but they have big dreams and even bigger hearts. My hope in creating this profile is to bring a little bit of the world to my classroom, one project at a time.
