Education builds good communities. Having ready access to basic technology like these Chromebooks in the classroom would encourage my students to explore science topics and spark a greater interest in their science education. Creativity is stifled when a student has limited access to technology basics, like computers. Most of their projects and assignments must be done in groups due to the need to share computers. This in itself reduces the quality of their work and limits their potential to think outside the box. Additionally, the skills they learn from researching and writing will not only improve their literacy skills, but may lead to education options that they may have not considered.
