Small group instruction time allows teachers to provide specialized and specific instruction to the different learners in their classrooms. However, this becomes difficult when there is no spot for your small groups to gather. A kidney top table allows all of my learners to meet in a small group with me in our own space. With this table, we will have room to read together, practice sight words, learn valuable reading strategies (and this is all just in our morning center time!) In the afternoon, we'll practice oral counting as a group, as well as other important math skills we learn in Kindergarten. This table will give my students their own space with me, allowing them time for individualized attention in their learning.
