My students truly have a love for reading. They'd often times love to read more than anything else. My goal as a teacher is to introduce them to as much quality literature as possible. I teach through mentor texts, we read many chapter books as read alouds together throughout the year, and they participate in literature circles. Much of our day is centered around literacy, and my library is having a difficult time keeping up. I want them to continue to be challenged through reading. I want them to develop a life long love for reading. I want them to become voracious readers.
