The buzz you hear is my students creating and exploring to make it to the fair! Once a year the San Luis Valley holds its regional science fair. Students from all over the valley come to show off their knowledge and excitements. Competing are 4th-12th grade students with projects they have worked so hard on. My 5th grade students are first introduced to science class in 4th grade and dive in deep as a 5th grader in my class. Students are picked to be apart of the elementary Science Fair class where they get to create a project and carry out experiments to show off at Regional Science Fair. I still remember the day, I was able to announce to the students that they where the 2018- 2019 elementary science fair team, as cheers and ideas filled the room! The items that I have selected are for student use to complete boards and experiments for fair. The Canon PowerShot is for students to be able to take high quality photos of their project and tests, with the ability to upload them to a computer for printing with ease. With high quality photos students will be able to show judges their attention to detail in each project. Presentation boards will give my students the opportunity to show off each project on a perfect surface. With a sheet laminator we will be able to protect students work and display work easily on boards. With your help I can give my students the chance to show the rest of our area that our sleepy little town is a force to be reckoned with!
