Earth and Space Science is a required course for our ninth grade students. Students in 9th grade need to SEE things and EXPERIENCE them. Lecturing is great but letting the students experiment helps them understand and retain what they learn. I attempt to offer as many hands-on experiences as possible. These globes will give my students opportunities to measure temperature variations when the globes are turned to varying angles allowing them to better understand seasonal temperature changes. The globes must be the same size to properly investigate the changes. They are beautiful globes as well and will offer opportunities to enhance other units of study as well.
