These tools and equipment will allow my students the hands on experience with design, manufacture, and presentation of a prototype design similar to that in a real world scenario. Tools are used for assembly and maintenance of the robot. Cutting tools, vice, and manufacturing tools are needed for this type of project. None of the parts we have are designed for us. My students are modifying or designing and manufacturing the part that we need. Finally, the memory cards and printer allow students to build and update the teams web page and further engage the community at large. The electronics also help us communicate as a group during the build season to share ideas and collaborate on our project as a cohesive group.
