When California adopted the Next Generation Science Standards, many teachers were not sure what it would mean for the curriculum. The changes have been drastic but the results are amazing to see. The students are problem solving and collaborating more. They are learning what it truly means to be a scientists. My students will become more science literate with the technology of Vernier probe ware. They will be able to run true scientific experiments using computers and precise measurement equipment. This will allow them to see what it is like to be a real laboratory scientist. It will also give them more hands-on experience learning the phenomena that we are studying.
