There are many Apple language apps that they could use to build their English vocabulary. Google translate is currently a useful tool that a lot of our students make use of. However, with the limited use of their cellphone as well as limited access to the Internet, they are sometimes confined to using translated dictionaries that does not cover all the academic words that they need to know. Thirdly, having iPads would allow them to easily access a lot of information (and pictures) online. Having easy access for iPads, and being readily available in the classroom, English language learners could utilize them for a variety of academic and educational purposes. Since students nowadays are extremely tech-savvy, I think that they would forward to using these gadgets to be able to help them develop their English language proficiency.
