I am hoping to buy these picture books to use as mentor texts in our weekly reading lessons. While my students are eager learners, I have found that with the rise of technology use, it is becoming harder and harder to engage them in reading physical books. I plan to use these as weekly read alouds that will not only engage my students in reading but will also encourage them to develop a love for reading. These picture books will offer life lessons, knowledge, and bring humor to our daily lessons. From informational picture books to humorous picture books, my students will be able to use these books to work on their comprehension skills.
