My students have Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities. Right now, our classroom has old tables and stationary chairs. My students will benefit from having newer seating options that are attractive and comfortable. Flexible seating options will allow students to move while continuing to work. This should help encourage students to come to class with better attitudes and work ethic. These newer seating options will make our classroom a place that students want to spend their time. Better seating options will also help increase the sense of community we have in our classroom. We don't expect adults to pull up a hard chair at a rectangular table every time we start a discussion. Let's help kids get ready for the real world.
