While I am working with small groups of students, my other students are doing independent work or centers. During this time it is much more difficult to add scaffolding/visual support to their independent work. They are normally answering higher level questioning about stories/ texts that we read whole group, and many students struggle adding in details from them. Using Chromebooks will add this necessary support to allow the students to be able to reach even higher. Many of my students are learning English and I could add in supports that will allow them to access the curriculum at each of their individual levels. This will greatly improve their confidence and sky rocket their learning. Also, these Chromebooks will allow them to start to master skills necessary to compete in this ever evolving world. They will have the ability to increase their knowledge of technology which will improve their education in the rest of their elementary career and beyond.
