I am requesting a new set of headphones for the classroom. We would use the headphones daily. It would allow students to use programs which read stories to them or sound out the alphabet while keeping the volume of the computer activities down. It also would allow students to focus on assignments more easily. Our school does testing via the computer for the Accelerated Reader System. These tests require the use of headphones. Programs such as See Saw, Epic Books, and podcasts would also require the use of headphones. Thus, it's very important that we always have enough working headphones for each student. Having these new materials would mean the world to my students and me. We work very hard in our classroom, but we also try to have fun along the way. It’s frustrating to have programs that we cannot turn the volume up to use because of a lack of headphones for all the students to use. The students would significantly benefit from the addition of 21st Century Technology in our room. They are excited to learn and when they use technology it helps to motivate everyone to be involved. Please help us out! Thank you.
