I'm a retired Special Needs teacher who has come back to teach this year because of the teacher shortage. This year two new classes were offered to help these exceptional students become more successful, and I am teaching both: Social Science and Food Science. In addition to teaching Social Science and Food Science, I have a math class as well as study skills classes. I work with Freshman through Seniors on various subjects, helping them in their studies. I loved being an elementary special education teacher and now am truly enjoying working with high school students! Some of the challenges that I now face are the same as when I worked with the younger kiddos, but of course, many are different! I hold being a teacher a privilege and anyone who knows me, knows that my motto is "every day is a new day, despite what the struggles or challenges from the day before!"
