I have two groups of 22 and 24 students each. They read books in English pretty much every day, but since our library is not big at all, they get bored of the same books. Also, we do not have computers or laptops, so they cannot read electronic books either. The tablet would allow us to download interesting books and work on them in a different way and not with the traditional paper that they are so used to now. Also, I teach them Math and Science and there are some really outstanding online resources that they could use during their workstations and I am sure that their attention would be caught much more easily with fun activities and interactive exercises. The innovative part of the tablet will make them feel like real teachers and they will be for sure even more enthusiastic about reading now! Their "read to your partner" part will be very much enjoyed! Also, if we put together different subjects, they will be able to develop the skills of IT learning for example, how to put books from the computer to the tablet. Too, they will have direct access to STEM alive projects and they could even interact with other schools in stream working on the same project. We will be killing two birds with a stone! Let's let them grow!
