Using carpet circles will allow for mobile seating in the music classroom. Carpet circles could be pre-arranged before students enter the classroom depending on what the emphasis of the lesson is. Being able to arrange seating in various ways will help to focus the class: facing Promethean board, facing piano, in a circle, in rows, etc. I can decide upon different seating arrangements in order to best serve the lesson for the day. Mobile seating is a great option when students are doing independent or working in groups. Being able to move to different parts of the classroom and have comfortable seating is important. I also love that the carpet circles can be easily put away leaving us with a wide open classroom for movement - free of tripping hazards. These carpet circles are also a much more cost-efficient way of providing comfortable seating for students during music class.
