You know the teacher saying, "An APPle a Day Helps Increase Learning in Every Way." An Apple iPad helps to innovate twenty-first century learning by seamlessly providing diverse learners both portability as well as ubiquitous affordances, including endless information at the tips of their fingers, and more importantly, many quality, educational apps for students to become creators, designers, tinkerers, coders, builders, curators, collaborators, networkers, and the list can go on. In this project, you can help make a difference by enhancing learning opportunities for fifth grade students as they not only can be consumers of knowledge, but moreover become producers and remixers of knowledge as they explore their passions and interests while connecting with experts, and document their learning through means of digital portfolios. Therefore, please help provide this class with the ability to develop an innovative mindset build around the 4Cs (creativity, communication, collaboration, critical-thinking) as they design/develop games, as they experiment with a greenscreen, as they code and program robotics, as they create stop motion videos, as they collaborate with local and global communities of learners, as well as document and reflect on their learning. In addition to that, we also are asking for additional accessories to go with the iPad, such as an iPad protective case to increase its durability, a tripod stand for videography, and microphones for kids to use while videoing or recording an interview. Truly, an (iPad) Apple a Day (along with these accessories) will Help Enhance Learning in Every Way in this Classroom Community of Learners! Thank you for your support!
