All students learn differently. Children need the opportunity to discover what their learning style is and to work in a classroom that is conducive to meeting their learning needs and learning style. By using flexible seating in my classroom, students can discover the ways in which they work best. Students will be more engaged and empowered to reach their full potential as a learner. Flexible seating will allow my active learners to get out of their desks and move around the room as they work to release their pent-up energy. When all students are engaged, comfortable, and working hard, student learning outcomes will improve.
