Many of my students have never used a laptop before. In K-2nd grade, they use iPads. In 3rd grade, we use Chromebooks. Some kids really struggle with using the touchpad on the Chromebook. I would like to have a wired mouse for each Chromebook in my classroom. Taking away the stress of the touchpad will help the kids become more comfortable with the computer. Using the mouse will help them be more exact with their movements on the Chromebook. They will not have to worry about accidentally clicking something incorrectly or trying to figure out how to right-click on the touchpad. The wired mouse will help them be more precise.
