This project will help me give students better at home reading opportunities and additional engaging activities and lessons to complete during the pandemic and school closures. Our school serves a student population that is very diverse and a majority come from low socioeconomical households. These students need better reading opportunities to engage them in learning while working in a virtual setting. These materials will allow students to have a choice in what they will read and provide them with texts to read at home during virtual learning. I am hopeful that these materials will help them to feel more connected to their peers while apart.
