Each morning at the beginning of class, students will be responsible for answering the first three prompts in their journal: "What are you grateful for?" "What will you do to make today amazing?" and "Write one positive affirmation about yourself." At the end of each class, students will complete the last three prompts in their journal: "What were some today's amazing moments?", "How could I have made today better?" and "Goals/ Plans for tomorrow." By reflecting on what they are grateful for and setting daily goals, students will practice gratitude, mindfulness, and productivity. Students will also set monthly goals and intentions that they will consistently revisit and reflect on. Additionally, each page of the journal has a new quote, which we will discuss and analyze. Throughout the year, we will complete projects and activities related to these journals, as well as wellness and mindfulness.
