I have created this project to expand the technology in my classroom. I find technology to be a driving force for change in my room. It encourages students to try new things and take risks in their learning. They feel that they are in control of their learning and find new and inventive ways of displaying their understanding. I have chosen the Chromebooks because they are user-friendly and work with the Google Suite, which so many of my students are comfortable using. Currently, our school houses one computer lab to be used by all students’ grades 6 – 8. While this project would not create a one-to-one school or even classroom, it would provide me with the opportunity to expand my students' learning.
