Providing my students with a flexible seating classroom will allow them to become more focused on short and long term goals throughout the semester. By having a variety of seats such as beach chairs, yoga mats, and "picnic/stadium style" seats and providing flexibility in the classroom, students will be able to focus on the assigned tasks and will be more comfortable in the school setting. Behavior issues and fidgeting in traditional desks will eliminate distractions to classmates and will allow students to stay focused and productive. This flexible seating environment will allow students to achieve goals and succeed in my Earth Science class.
