These diverse non-fiction books will help spark my student's interest in reading non-fiction. In my classroom, we use the readers workshop model which allows students to chose books that interest them. This requires me to have a lot of books. Students in my class typically read anywhere from 1 to 5 non-fiction books in a week. The books that I have chosen are about subject matters that interest my students and will promote learning. Students in my class enjoy reading about important people and places. They also enjoy reading about nature and animals. Please help me develop a more expansive, interesting non-fiction classroom library.
