My students have few resources available to them. Their home environments lacking essentials, and at times they live in places that are not fit for humans. The PASS program provides support for students who need help coping with day-to-day issues. We use incentives and reminders to help students achieve the desired behavior. In the past, PASS has used technology such as gaming and laptops to reward great behavior. Thanks to Hurricane Harvey, we no longer have access to these resources. As a result it is even more challenging to change behaviors without a gaming system or accessories to reward the children. A gaming system with all of the controllers and popular games will inspire our students to implement changes in their behavior to enjoy the system. Also, with the addition of tablets, our kids will have the opportunity to read using technology.
