My students need help to develop their fine motor skills. Fine motor skills are those that involve a refined use of the small muscles which control the wrist, fingers, and hand. My students are having difficulty zippering and buttoning their clothing. They also are not comfortable handling drawing and writing tools. We try to foster independence in the classroom and with these games/materials, my students will develop their fine motor skills through fun games and gain the confidence to take care of their own needs. Pre-K students learn through play and these materials will help them to complete the basic tasks such as zippering, buttoning, and feeding themselves. It will also strengthen their muscles for comfortable writing and drawing which will help them in their educational career.
