My students are students with Autism. Most are non verbal and rely on associative technology or sign language to communicate. Most assistive tech devices are very large and heavy for them to carry or very expensive, which is why we want to try IPODS. They are light and socially acceptable. These students attend regular schools and regular classes in an elementary school. They try so hard and want to communicate with their same age peers, they just need a way to do so.
