My students are trying to start up a coffee shop that they have named Sweet Abilities. Every Friday, my students will read and complete orders, deliver coffee drinks to staff members, count money, and make change if needed. Students will work on communication and social skills, problem solving, and teamwork throughout this process as well. There are so many core benefits in an opportunity like this! While we have a plan to maintain coffee supplies, the startup costs are more than we can handle. My students are dreaming big and I would love to make this project happen for them!
