COVID-19 is restricting our students’ ability to get out and exercise or get their heart rate up without wearing a mask. This program will allow them to get excited about step goals with their pedometer. Having a pedometer to check out for the day helps promote a building-wide healthy mindset. Classroom and grade level competitions gives this simple tool the system of motivators to make students want to be more active by simply walking more. Walking is an inclusive physical activity that includes all students and adults in our school population.
