We are looking to turn our "traditional" classroom setting into a more accessible and flexible learning environment for our students. Unfortunately we are under a budget freeze and the funds to create a more conducive learning environment will not be possible without donated funds. We are looking looking to purchase items that are flexible while being able to fit into our small space. We are looking to purchase two standing desks, fluorescent light shades and bouncy bands to help open our classroom to the environmental needs of our students. The mixture of sensory bands and standing desks will help students be able to focus while also using energy. Bouncy bands will be utilized with our current desks to transform them into more usable pieces. The light shades are needed to diffuse the harsh fluorescent lights and to create a calmer feeling within the classroom using the color blue.
