My students love to write, but rush to be the first to sit in my antique student desk. Students have different learning styles, so some work best relaxed on the floor, while some enjoy sitting or lounging in a cozy chair. They need to feel comfortable to spark their ideas and to keep focused on their writing. Children love a "cool" place to write and feel important. Flexible seating will help them do this! Seats that are comfortable to lounge in will help motivate them to become the authors they dream of. My students also need writing supplies. Clipboards they can take notes on and take with them around the room, dry erase markers, erasers, pens, and pencils will definitely provide them with the supplies they need to become successful authors.
