Many of my students cannot afford their own devices, so these Chromebooks I am requesting will provide those students with access to one. The use of Chromebooks is almost a daily activity in my classroom. Through the use of technology, my students are learning skills they will need in their future. For example, in my Health class, I teach about careers. I require my students to research a career, write a written report about that career, create a cover letter, create a resume, and fill out a job application. Yes, these activities can be completed by my 8th grade students, and they are, while using Chromebooks. My 7th grade Language Arts class also uses the Chromebooks daily. They will go online to find the definition of words (yes, I still encourage them to use the paper dictionary), and they type their essays on the Chromebooks. These Chromebooks are essential for my students' success and future. Thank you for helping my students succeed!
