Our Middle School is seeking STEM certification with an emphasis on agriculture. As a part of that initiative, we want our students to track weather changes at our school and evaluate how the weather affects the growth of plants and the health of animals at and around our school. With this equipment, we would also like to partner with the a local weather station and potentially have them work with our students. My students need this Davis Instruments Vantage Pro2 Weather Station and the Weatherlink Software to help us study the weather, track the weather data of our area, and to become a contributor to the Weatherlink app. Our students will use the weather station and software to take weather readings, create weather graphs, and predict the effects of weather on are area, all while uploading our weather data live to the Weatherlink App. The software that we are also trying to get will allow us to track the weather data even when we are not in school, allowing us to evaluate our weather data when we return. Also, our school is located at the highest elevation of our county, which would allow us to provided a weather observation that others don't have.
