The resources listed above will be utilized during our daily Guided Reading instruction. All students receive consistent small group reading instruction which requires the majority of students to work independently. We will be using our felt pieces and books in an independent work station where students can retell familiar stories to each other and practice their retelling skills. Although this skill seems small, it is a vital foundational element in kindergarten. I know my students will find joy in using the new materials and will take very good care of them. We are looking to build our skills while having fun!
