Sensory seating and iPads will enhance my students learning environment. My students struggle with sitting still, and research shows that students who face learning disabilities perform better by sitting in seats that allow them to move and learn. The iPads will help my students use their fingers to move and choose answers. The standard computer tends to be difficult for students who struggle with sensory-motor skills, and the constant clicking of a mouse is painful for my students who struggle with clicking and noises made by computers.
The sensory seating will allow my students to move and complete work without being confined to a chair that doesn't enhance learning. The iPads will allow my students to move and click the correct answers without having to tackle a large keyboard or hear the clicking of the mouse. The two items will increase focus and help me encourage my students to reach for the stars.
