Stem Bins are used in classrooms across America. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. They are used for students to be able to create and build with a variety of materials. I will provide students with picture cards of real life structures that they can create with a variety of tools. Students will be able to explore and engineer through play and collaboration with others. Learners of all types will be able to work together and problem solve. Not only will this build spatial reasoning and encourage imagination, but it will allow students to practice problem solving with others. Exploring with stem bins will also be able to be used as a motivational tool for students. Students will want to do better and be allowed to to use the stem bins. It will also help teach students how to use materials responsibly and to take care of them.
