Research has a strong emphasis on picture clues for our early learners. Specifically picture clues that include the students within the pictures. The picture of fellow peers come to life quickly with the use of the small portable polaroid camera. The power of behavioral expectations will come to life with our polaroid pictures for our 4K and Kindergarten students. Though our PBIS program we have 4 expectations Respect Peers, Adults, World and Self. These expectations are also a connection to our mascot a Hoover Husky and spell out PAWS. The use of visuals is powerful around our entire building and the polaroids would give us a quick and time sensitive solutions to hanging more picture cues around our building. In addition as the Counselor in the 4K and Kindergarten classroom, this provides a nice convenient way to have them use a form of technology without having them print to a separate printer. 4K and Kindergartens have a harder time with this step and the polaroids will be much more time sensitive.
