My project will get coding off the screen and into the hands of my students. I am starting a coding/robotics course that will be open to students in the morning, during class and as a club in the evenings. The benefits of coding have long been established. I am trying to bring coding and robotics to life in the classroom. At this moment we do not have anything but our computer lab and I want to get students out of their seats collaborating and engaging with each other on projects and developing solutions
My students will change the world. I want to help get my students and their families enter the 21st century. My students are going to be game changers and world travelers. But before they can do that they have to learn to think critically, learn perseverance, develop computational thinking and learn to solve problems. By starting this I am setting my students up for success in the future.
My students need 3 Sphero SPRK Coding robots to start their adventure with hands-on coding. Lets get them off the computer and put some concrete materials in their hands to SPARK their imaginations.
