Literacy and Language will be the primary use for the Chromebook computers in my first grade classroom. My students will be able to use the computers when they have completed their work to have books read to them or simply learn by experiences through the web. Students become more confident learners when they feel confident in their communication skills with teachers and other students. The computers will be used for those students who are new to our country by using Google Translate for classroom communication! We also need experience on computers for our required state testing. My students would greatly benefit from learning how to correctly use the computer to get them ready for state testing. Teaching youngsters technology will help them advance as 21st century learners!
