My class is filled with students from all different learning abilities and learning styles. Many of them, like myself, are visual learners. We have found that sometimes the best learning takes place from one peer to another. We have made many strides this year sharing student work with one another and encouraging one another as we make strides and accomplish our goals. To motivate and encourage our students, we try to use technology to keep them engaged and excited about their learning. One way to facilitate this goal is to have document cameras that my co-teacher and I can utilize to share our students amazing work with each other. Our students learn best from each other, and they really celebrate their accomplishments as they share their triumphs, along with their struggles. Document cameras would give us much easier access, especially with the variety of learning styles we work with, including a large amount of students who are very visual learners.
