The iPad will be used in our second aircraft F2 Talon and in our Intro to Aeronautics class to teach the students about aeronautical navigation. The iPad will be loaded with the ForeFlight app. The App will give the students the ability to plan routes of flight, obtain weather briefings, and file flight plans. Our program also stresses critical 21st-century learning skills. This iPad will enhance our curriculum and will give us the ability to involve both student-directed and teacher-led curricula to create a powerful and effective STEM experience. The iPad will give the students “hands-on” approach to flight planning. This will hands-on approach will allow students to develop the skill set used by aviators.
