Do you remember your favorite books as a child? Why were they your favorite? As an early childhood educator, I want to instill a love and joy for reading. I placed an order on Lakeshore towards my favorite big books. These books will be used for shared reading. Shared reading increases student engagement, fosters, and encourages children to love reading. The teacher explicitly teaches reading skills and children share in the experience. Students will focus on specific reading strategies each day. Children can then practice these skills during center time and act out the book! Help make reading a fun learning experience in our classroom!
