Having visual timers in each classroom is one additional way we will help our students, especially those with unique needs, to better manage their time on tasks. Students struggle with the concept of time, let alone time management. This is a skill that must be taught and reinforced as tasks get more complex through the grade levels. Students will get their work completed more efficiently and will feel empowered by their successes. Having a visual timer on the dry erase board will aid them in managing their work time and get tasks completed. By providing visual timers starting as early as kindergarten, students will be learning time management skills and will be provided this type of support for as long as they need it.
