My students do not have the advantage of living in an area where the schools provide a majority of their learning materials and supplies. The second disadvantage that they have is living in poverty. In a perfect world, they would have learned how to read in their earlier grades. The fact is that a majority of my children are not reading at grade level. I am trying my hardest to get these students where they need to be, but we really need your help in order to complete our literacy instruction. These headphones will be used by each and every student I have. They will help students to concentrate on their assignments without hearing the noise from the classroom. Another benefit would be allowing students to listen to different texts. There are so many beneficial aspects of auditory learning. The second part of my request is notebooks for journaling, interactive notebooks, and Cornell notes. The only way these children will learn how to be better readers and writers is for them to practice. Please help these children by providing some of the supplies that they need in order to be the best they can be.
