Most of the time, my sixth graders have a lot of energy and are not comfortable sitting in the same place for long. Since they are no longer in elementary school, they no longer have recess to get their movement in. I feel that they need to be able to move around a bit more in the classroom to focus. Having flexible seating will allow them to get a bit of movement in during the day and help them focus. It will also give them a chance exercise choice by choosing where they feel must comfortable working for the day. I feel that having more options will allow them to enjoy working at school because they are in a comfortable environment.

About my class
