My students currently use folders and/or books to block their work during testing. Not all of the students have their own folders so they are asking their peers to borrow some. Throughout the testing, typically the folders collapse or fall down, causing a distraction to that student and the students around them. Having a sturdy privacy protector for each student would help my students have the best chance of succeeding. I am also asking for different forms of timers to be used in my classroom. Not only do the students need to understand time, they need to understand the concept of having limited time. During state tests, there is a time limit and my students need to learn to work under pressure.
