My students all have their own Chromebook which allows them to get on programs such as IXL, McGraw-Hill, and Waterford. These programs are designed to help students excel at concepts they already know or improve on foundation skills. Being able to listen to their computers and interact with assigned programs during small group time helps benefit students when it comes to whole group instruction and they are learning concepts at the same level. Headphones not only benefit students who are struggling but also allow me to give more challenging assignments to students who are excelling. Currently most students are not able to bring in headphones of their own or their headphones are broken and need replaced. Having reliable headphones would offer my students the opportunity to stay focused on educational programs without interruptions.
