Although my students are young, they are writers, readers, mathematicians, scientists, builders, artists and dreamers. We are located in a low income district where many of my students receive a free lunch and are members of our "backpack club" which is a bag of food they take home over the weekend so they aren't starving by Monday morning. The majority of my students are in these situations and as much as I hate to say it, it does effect their learning. Without having people at home to push you forward in school many students tend to fall behind and become careless about school. I work as hard as I can to instill a love for learning in each of my students for each subject. Your donations will be used to increase learning through all subject areas for students at their own pace of learning. Ultimately meeting individualized students needs and challenging all students.
